How to Keep Track of Golf Scores Between Friends
Golf is often more fun when there’s a bit of friendly competition involved.
But if you regularly play with the same group of friends, keeping track of everyone’s scores and progress isn’t always easy. Scorecards get thrown away, results disappear into WhatsApp chats and you might not even know how your friends played if you weren’t there.
There are a few ways to make this easier.
Keep Everyone’s Golf in One Place
Instead of relying on individual scorecards and messages, having one place where your group records its golf makes it much easier to follow everyone’s progress.
This becomes particularly useful when your group doesn’t always play together.
Perhaps two members play on Wednesday, another plays in a club competition on Saturday and the whole group gets together the following weekend.
Their rounds can still be part of the group’s story.
Track More Than Just Scores
Scores are useful, but watching someone’s handicap change over time can tell you much more about how their golf is progressing.
Keeping recent rounds and handicap information together also creates some friendly competition.
Who’s improving fastest? Who’s had the best recent round? And, perhaps more importantly, who has suddenly stopped mentioning their handicap?
Make Golf More Social
This is one of the ideas behind TrackPar.
Create a private TrackPar Circle for the golfers you regularly play with and everyone can keep up with each other’s golf.
When somebody adds a new round, other members of their Circle can see it — even if they didn’t play that round with them.
Friends can react, comment and follow each other’s progress, while competitions, events and shared golf memories stay together within the group.
Think of it as giving your golf group its own home rather than letting everything disappear into different apps and WhatsApp conversations.
Create a free TrackPar Circle, invite your golf friends and start following each other’s golf.
